Village Baking Co.
Le mariage

The sweet half of your wedding.

We are not a full-service caterer, and that is the point. We do the dessert table, the welcome bags, the morning-of breakfast and the late-night snack, properly.

Ce que nous faisons bien

We are a bakery, not a caterer. That is the point.

Your venue or caterer handles dinner. We handle the part people photograph and the part they take home. Doing one thing properly beats doing all of it adequately.

  • The dessert table. Éclairs, tartlettes, canelés and financiers, built as a display rather than a tray.
  • Welcome bags. Individually wrapped pastries and cookies for hotel rooms.
  • Morning of. Croissants, fruit and coffee to the suite while everyone is getting ready.
  • Late night. Pretzel croissants and cookies at the end of the night.
  • Favors. Boxed sweets for guests to take home.

Good to know

How far in advance do I need to order?

Forty-eight hours for most orders. Weddings and anything over one hundred people should book one to two weeks out. Call us for anything sooner and we will tell you honestly what the bakehouse can do.

Is there a minimum?

No minimum for pickup at any café. Delivery minimums depend on the area and are quoted when you order.

Do you deliver, and what does it cost?

We deliver across Dallas, the Park Cities, Uptown, Oak Cliff, Preston Hollow and the near suburbs. The fee depends on distance and order size and is quoted before you confirm.

Can you handle dietary restrictions?

We have vegetarian options throughout, and a gluten-free coffee cake muffin. Gluten-free is otherwise limited by what we bake. Tell us when you order and we will tell you exactly what is in everything.

Do you do individually boxed meals?

Yes. Boxed lunches are labeled per person, which is what most offices want now.

Can I get an invoice instead of paying by card?

Yes. Offices and recurring orders can be invoiced. Ask Shannon when you place the order.

Can you do a standing weekly order?

Yes, and it is our favorite kind of order. We set the menu rotation with you once and it runs.

Do you make wedding cakes and dessert tables?

We build dessert tables, pastry and macaron displays, welcome bag items and late-night snacks. For a tiered wedding cake, talk to us early so we can tell you what we can do well.

Are welcome bag items individually wrapped?

Yes. Venues and hotels generally require it, so everything for a welcome bag comes wrapped and labeled.

How do I actually place the order?

Build it on this site and send it over, or call the catering line at (214) 951-9077. Either way a person confirms it before anything is charged.
